Sandforce

Sandforce created a new type of Solid State disk Drive (SSD) that overcame previous limitations of existing products that had prevented widespread adoption. They contacted Story with a goal of launching within six weeks. 

 

Charlie quickly learned the market environment and the advantages of Sandforce's technology. He then interviewed Sandforce engineers and marketing executives and then created a media outreach, analyst outreach, and content marketing plan within a week. He and his team then executed the plan with press/analyst briefings, a white paper, and two bylined articles.

 

Sandforce's launch was highly successful and the market was eager for their solution. The company was sold to LSI Logic within four months after the launch.
 

 

Fortress Solutions

Technology service provider Fortress Solutions had a strong reputation for network services and engineering, but the company had gradually expanded into data center and end user technology and needed that broader focus reflected in its website. Charlie worked with six senior Fortress executives and combined interview results with extensive research to capture and distill new corporate and services messaging, and then worked with a web designer to create a completely new website within six weeks.  

 

The new website helped attract new customers for Fortress' managed services, advanced technology services, and professsional services to make those offerings key elements of the company's overall identity. Corporate sales increased.

CommScope 

For more than 15 years, Charlie supported CommScope's global marketing communications team as a go-to writing resource. He creates press releases, blogs, white papers, email announcements, case studies and other materials for use with media, analysts, and on the company's website. 

 

As a long-term marcom team member, Charlie is often called on to create new content with deadlines as short as four hours. His draft copy is typically 95% on target, and he's never missed a deadline. 

Stellar Cyber

Stellar Cyber pioneered a new category of cybersecurity solution and brought Charlie in to help establish it as the category leader. Charlie built a content marketing strategy along with press releases, blogs, case studies, website copy and solution briefs that educated the market about the new category and the advantages of Stellar Cyber's solution. In the process, key Stellar Cyber employees became well known voices in the market, and the company  enjoyed triple digit year-over-year growth and outstanding customer retention.
